Two arrested for Cowies Hill robbery

Police found the two men hiding in a nearby bush with stolen the items.

TWO men were arrested a few minutes after robbing a house in Cowies Hill yesterday, (Wednesday, 21 February).

According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Mazwi Mbatha, police were patrolling the Cowies Hill area in Pinetown when they received a complaint of trespassing at a house on Churston Road.

“Police responded and through their investigation, they found out that two men jumped over the fence and gained entry into the yard and stole a Samsung TV and jewellery.

“They started searching for the suspects and found them hiding in a nearby bush,” said Mbatha.

Both suspects aged 19 and 22 were arrested and the stolen property was also recovered. The suspects will appear in court soon.
