Nicandro is bowler of the T20 Tournament

He prefers cricket to all other sports, and plays regularly with his two older brothers in their garden at home.

WESTVILLE Senior Primary School is proud of Grade 6 learner, Nicandro Kistna, who is a member of the school’s first cricket team that played in a T20 Festival at Westville Boys’ High School on 9 and 11 February.

Nicandro’s exceptional bowling skills were evident to all at the tournament. He scored a hat-trick and went on to be selected as Bowler of the Tournament at the prize-giving ceremony. Last year, Nicandro was selected for the KZN team in the U11 age group, and he was awarded a floating trophy at the school’s annual school prize-giving for scoring the most runs at cricket matches played during the year. This particular award is open to all cricket players at the school.

Nicandro’s favourite subject is maths, and his favourite food is pizza. He prefers cricket to all other sports, and plays regularly with his two older brothers in their garden at home. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing XBOX.

Nicandro is a proud supporter of the Proteas. AB de Villiers is his favourite cricketer and role model. Nicandro’s dream is to represent his country as member of the South African cricket team one day.
