In the 1st Team Cricket match, WBHS lost a wicket early but recovered quickly with high run rate of five runs an over, thanks to some great stroke play between Gareth Beavan and Brandon McCabe. McCabe unfortunately lost his wicket for 17 runs bringing Caleb Pillay to the crease and he helped Beavan to a score of 110 runs in what was a great innings to watch.

Contributions of 31 from Daniel Trevethan and 34 not out by captain Matthew Pollard allowed Westville to set a massive total of 268 for 9 in their 50 overs.

Glenwood went into bat and lost two early wickets thanks to Matthew Pollard bowling a great line and length finding the edges of the bat and great catches from keeper Brandon McCabe and slip Caleb Pillay.

This prompted some great pressure from the Westville team both with the bowling and backed up with awesome fielding by the team leading to a regular fall of wickets thanks to the pressure. This allowed off spinner Seth Rajakumar to take 5 wickets for 34 runs. Glenwood were dismissed for 120 runs giving Westville another great victory this season of 148 runs.
