Register for lay counselling course

The course teaches basic counselling skills, dealing with conflict, addressing social issues of rape, domestic violence, child abuse as well as training on the various Acts and Bills.

OPEN Door Crisis Care Centre’s lay counselling eight-week course starts on Saturday, 27 January.

This course is a must for lay counsellors, neighbourhood watch volunteers, educators and community workers who are involved with men, women and children who are facing challenges in their homes, schools, or anyone wishing to improve their own life skills in dealing with conflict, work and social related problems.

The course offers psychology students hands-on training and is recommended by various universities and colleges.

The course teaches participants basic counselling skills, dealing with conflict, addressing social issues of rape, domestic violence, child abuse as well as training on the various Acts and Bills including the Sexual Offences Act, Domestic Violence Bill and Children’s Act.
