#MatricResults2017: St Benedict learners’ hard work pays off

All the learners received over 50 per cent of the subject results being either an A or B symbol.

ST Benedict School in Pinetown celebrated the excellent IEB matric examination results obtained by its learners.

Shimon Corcos was placed in the top 140 in the country’s IEB examinations with an average of 90 per cent and 7 out of 7 A symbols.

Mwezi Londa also achieved a full house of 7 out of 7 A symbols and an average of 89 per cent.

Dr Barbara Bowley, principal of the school and Sean Topper, Head of the High School, were both delighted with the results of all the students with over 50 per cent of the subject results being either an A or B symbol.

“Hard work and commitment from both the learners and the staff has paid off and the results are a good platform for the learners to launch into careers from here. Solid foundations have been laid at the school and we are extremely proud of all our students.”
