New Germany learners bag awards

The finals were held at Pitlochry School and 24 schools participated. Grade 7 learner, Lethuthando Ntombela from New Germany Primary made the school proud as she came first in the theory and practical sessions and was also announced the overall winner.

FIVE learners from New Germany Primary School participated in the Centre for the Advancement of Science and Mathematics Education (CASME) Olympiad finals recently.

The finals were held at Pitlochry School and 24 schools participated. Grade 7 learner, Lethuthando Ntombela from New Germany Primary made the school proud as she came first in the theory and practical sessions and was also announced the overall winner.

She received certificates, medals, a trophy, a gift voucher and stationery. The other learners from the school also received certificates for their participation in the finals.

Grade 7 teacher, Roshini Natasen, said they are very proud of their learners and the school is very grateful to the CASME team for regularly hosting practical workshops at the school and giving them the opportunity to participate in the competition.
