Be a jolly jogger at annual 15km Christmas challenge

Pre-entries close for the Westville Athletic Club's Christmas Challenge on Saturday, 9 December.

LACE up for the Illovo Sugar 15km Christmas Challenge, hosted by Westville Athletic Club, on Sunday, 10 December at 6am.

The start and finish is at the group’s club house at the intersection of Maryvale and Syringa Roads in Westville.

Pre-entries close at midnight on Tuesday, 5 December and cost R90 each.

Late entries can be purchased on Saturday, 9 December from 10am to 4pm and on the day of the race from 5am to 6am. The late entry cost is R100 each.

For runners over 65 years old, entry is free but proof of age is required.

Temporary licences cost R20 for non-registered club members.

The top three in all main age categories will receive a monetary prize and T-shirts will be given to the first 2 000 runners to complete the race in the sub two-and-a-half hour cut off time.

Lucky draw prizes will be handed out and the prize-giving will start at 8.45am.

The Westville Athletic Club supports two charities, the Baby House in Westville and the Malvern Children’s Home.

All runners are encouraged to donate toys which will be given to the two non-profit organisations.
