TO the person in the black and white car travelling down Kloof Gorge at 11.01am on Friday, 3 November, 2017, what were you thinking?
You overtook on a solid line approaching a blind corner and all I saw, as I came around that corner, were your headlights on my side of the road, and you were travelling at a great speed.
I had to take evasive action by mounting the verge to my left.
You may well have had an emergency – I passed an accident on Fields Hill – but that doesn’t give you the right to endanger my life and that of the young person behind me on a motorcycle.
I am a 66-year-old grandmother, a mother and a wife of 36 years standing, and I like to believe that I form an important part of my family’s lives.
Shame on you for endangering me that way and threatening to upset the balance of my family.
