Three injured in Pinetown head-on collision

The driver of the small car was found entrapped in the vehicle.

ONE person sustained moderate injuries and two more sustained minor injuries in a head-on collision between a taxi and car on Shepstone Road in Pinetown during the early hours of Sunday morning.

ER24 paramedics found the driver of the vehicle still entrapped in the car.

“Fire and rescue personnel freed the man who sustained moderate injuries and he was transported to RK Khan Hospital.

The two men who sustained minor injuries were transported to nearby hospitals by other emergency services on scene,” said ER24 spokesman, Annine Siddall.

 

Four people were injured on Monday’s accident on University Road.

 

On Monday a woman, believed to be in her 40s, was killed when she was hit by a light motor vehicle on the M13 in Westville.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesman said paramedics arrived on the scene at about 9.20am and found the body of a woman lying in the middle of the road. A bystander had already begun performing CPR.

Later in the afternoon four people were injured in a collision on University Road in Westville.
