Fifteen injured in two accidents in Pinetown

At this stage the exact cause of the collisions are unknown, however the necessary authorities were at both scenes to investigate..

FIFTEEN people have been injured in two seperate accidents that took place within half an hour of each other in Pinetown yesterday evening.

In the first accident, at the corner of Richmond and Alexander Roads, a taxi and a car collided.

According to Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson, a total of 13 people had been injured in the crash.

 

Police and paramedics were called to the crash scene at the corner of Alexander and Richmond Roads.

 

While attending to this accident, a motorist stopped and informed emergency personnel that there was a second collision on Richmond Road, over the N3 Bridge.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a vehicle on its roof. The two occupants of the vehicle had sustained minor injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Jamieson.

 

A motorist stopped to inform the rescue services tending to the patients at the first accident, that another crash had taken place over the N3.
