Pinetown Welfare in need of laptops

Staff said they can not complete urgent documentation due to the lack of computers at their premises.

PINETOWN Highway Child and Family Welfare Society desperately needs new or second-hand laptops or desktop PCs for staff to complete their work.

According to Ellen Attwell, fundraiser at the welfare organisation, there is only one laptop at the moment which the admin staff member is using.

Samke Sithole, a social worker at the organisation said they need more laptops to complete the NFD’s – their monthly stats that they submit to the Department of Social Development in order to receive the organisation’s subsidy payout.

“It’s very urgent, without a laptop our work is at a standstill. It’s one of the challenges we can not overcome without a good, working-condition laptop,” said Sithole.

If there’s anyone who can assist the welfare organisation by donating new or second-hand laptops or desktop PCs in good condition, they can contact Ellen Attwell on 084 016 8913 or 031 701 3288.
