Westwood Mall “not aware” of bomb scare – marketing manager
A message went viral on social media earlier today claiming a bomb scare at the local mall.
RUMOURS regarding a pipe bomb going off at Westwood Mall this morning were debunked by the mall’s management.
Westwood Mall’s marketing manager, Ivana Pillay, noted in a telephonic interview they were “not aware of the incident” and could provide no further comment but would release a statement shortly.
It was alleged that the device used in the incident was a pipe bomb.
This bomb scare rumour comes just days after two shopping centres in the Highway area were targeted by criminals.
