WATCH: Pinetown littlies march for World Water Day

Birches Pre-Primary School learners march for water in and around the school.

Learners and teachers from Birches Pre-Primary School in Sarnia marched in and around the school to celebrate World Water Day.

Littlies came to school with placards which they made with the help of their families.

“This is such an important conservation theme in our school and our efforts have made an impact in the past and last year we were named one of the Big Five Eco-schools in South Africa. We also belong to an organisation called Water Explorers which is an International organisation working for water conservation in many countries,” said principal of the school, Scilla Edmonds.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
