BREAKING NEWS: Decomposed body found hanging from tree in Pinetown

Pinetown SAPS have opened at inquest docket and are appealing to members of the community to come forward with any information leading up to the incident or details of the next of kin.

PINETOWN police are at the corner of Otto Volek Road and the offramp leading onto the M19 towards Pinetown, where a body was found hanging from a tree.

According to Andreas Mathios, communications and media liaison for Blue TV, the body of the homeless man believed to be in his 50s was found by a passerby who alerted authorities.

“His bag containing his belongings was found nearby.”

“He used a piece of clothing to hang himself and its assumed that his body had being hanging here for the last 10 days.”

“We are not sure who his next of kin is at this point in time,” said Mathios.

All authorities are currently at the scene. An inquest docket will be opened at the Pinetown SAPS.
