Show support for rape victims

La Bella Models in Association with Forest Hills Sports Club will host a high tea to raise funds for the Jes Foord Foundation.

La Bella Models in Association with Forest Hills Sports Club will host a high tea on Tuesday, 21 March from 10 to 12pm at the Forest Hills Sports Club; 42 Forest Drive, Upper Highway in aid of the Jes Foord Foundation’s Handbag Project for rape victims.

The purpose of the event is to collect as many bags as possible and raise funds to buy the necessities which need to go inside the bags.

Tickets are R100 per person and include refreshments, welcome drinks, lucky draws and entertainment.

No tickets will be sold at the door, buy tickets before Wednesday, 15 March, e-mail labellamodels4@gmail.com.

The dress code is pink and green (semi-formal).

The Jes Foord Foundation (JFF) was formed by rape survivor Jes Foord.

Her vision and mission is to create centres that will assist in reducing the debilitating effect that rape has on the lives of rape survivors and their families.

One of her initiatives is the Handbag Project. New or used handbags are donated, containing items that can assist a rape victim during the initial reporting process at the police station such as a facecloth, soap, deodorant spray and new underwear.
