UKZN SRC president’s homophobic post causes outrage
People have called for action to be taken against SRC president, Kwanele Mbatha.
A HOMOPHOBIC post of on social media sites by president of the Westville UKZN Â Student Representative Council, Kwanele Mbatha has caused an outrage.
The post which has since been deleted on his Facebook under the name ‘Wothi Shandu KaNdaba’ read: “Period pains remind lesbians that they’ll never become men #Word!!!”
Politicians and community activists have also taken to social networks to call for action to be taken against Mbatha.
Highway Mail has requested comment from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
