Ashley man hurt in freak accident

A MAN was seriously injured when he dropped several panes of glass on his leg at his home on Voortrekker Road in Ashley, Pinetown, this morning.

ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring, said paramedics arrived at the scene to find the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, seated on a driveway.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he suffered serious injury to his leg. He was treated at home before being transported to Life Crompton Hospital,” said Meiring.

According to Meiring, it is believed the man was carrying the panes of glass when he tripped and fell. One of his legs went through one pane.
