Dig deep for Kloof Conservancy open gardens

Help make the Indigenous Open Gardens a success by supporting the local conservancy.

THE Kloof Conservancy needs your help to make its annual Indigenous Open Gardens on 25 and 26 March a roaring success.

The NPO is in need of prizes for the traditional raffle.

“If you are able to offer a product or service as a prize that would be a big help,” said Paolo Candotti, chairman of the Kloof Conservancy.

Traditionally, the conservancy calls on its members and supporters to donate cakes for the Tetley Tea Garden, which this year will be at Kloof Senior Primary.

Highway residents are welcome to make a donation as well. Reminders will be sent out a fortnight before the event.

“We do need volunteers to man the gates during the event. We run two shifts on both the Saturday and Sunday of the show,” said Paolo. The first shift is from 8.45am to 12.30pm and the second shift is from 12.30 to 4pm.

“Most volunteers have a great time talking to the visitors so it’s great fun,” he said.

If you are able to assist with either shift or would like to donate prizes or cakes for the tea garden, e-mail info@kloofconservancy.org.za.
