Panda the Huskey was last seen being put into a white Hilux double cab bakkie at the robots at Pine Crest Shopping Mall on Saturday, 21 January at 3.30pm.
Le Roux said the female dog got out their yard and was last seen at the Lahee Park swimming pool near Pine Crest Shopping Centre in Pinetown around 3.30pm on Saturday, 21 January.
Le Roux said two security guards told him that they saw a dog being put into a Hilux double cab bakkie at the robots at Pinecrest Mall.
“Panda is 20 months old, has club-shaped white fur between her eyes and black spots on her nose, blue eyes and answers to her name. She is energetic, very friendly and loves to play,” said Le Roux.

Marc Chetty of Animal Rescue KZN said there have been nine cases of dog thefts reported in KZN, and five out of those nine cases have been registered. Chetty strongly believes there there are dog theft syndicates operating in the area, however could not confirm if Panda was one of them. He urged pet owners to keep the animals safe in a secure environment.
Earlier this month Pinetown residents, Wayne Barnard and Nadine, managed to rescue and recover their beloved hound, Layiah, days after she escaped from their home during the New Year’s Day fireworks. They found her trapped in a stormwater drain.
