Mall’s heart beats for Organ Donor Foundation

The local mall recently made a donation of R10 000 to the Organ Donor Foundation.

THIS year Watercrest Mall highlighted the plight of the Organ Donor Foundation and encouraged shoppers to sign up to the national organ donor registry.

As an added incentive, the mall would donate R50 for each of the first 200 new registrations. More than 200 new members signed up and the mall donated R10 000 to the foundation. “We would like to sincerely thank our community for supporting our Angel Tree initiative for 2016,” said Elizabeth Roux, the marketing manager for Watercrest Mall.

These funds will go to the KZN Emergency Flight Plan, which pays for the transportation of vital organs from outlying areas to transplant hospitals.
