One dead, three seriously injured in N3 crash

ONE MAN died and three others were seriously injured when their vehicle overturned on the N3 at the Mariannhill Toll Plaza on Saturday night, just before 8pm.

According to Chris Botha, Netcare 911 spokesman, reports from the scene indicated that the vehicle overturned however police will investigate the exact cause of the accident.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found debris and the twisted frame of the vehicle littering the highway. After triaging the injured, we discovered that the driver of the vehicle had died. Three others were seriously injured. The injured were treated and then taken to various hospitals,” said Botha.
