Friends of Hillcrest Library is appealing for donations of second hand books.

FRIENDS of Hillcrest Library are appealing to the community for donations of second hand books.

The library has a sales table of second hand books which is stocked with books and magazines that are donated by library members and the public. These books are extremely affordable because of the low prices.

However, the library has been running short of books in the past few weeks, and want to make a fresh appeal to the public to donate all books that they no longer want or need. These can be delivered to the Hillcrest Library during its operating hours. If anyone is unable to deliver the items to the library, leave a message by phone, and the staff will be able to collect it from you.

Hillcrest Library has also appealed to members of the library to join the Friends of Hillcrest Library. All members of Friends are entitled to certain benefits. Individual membership costs R30 a year. Family membership (parents and under-age children only) costs R50 a year. All funds raised from book sales and new and annual memberships, is mostly used to purchase new books for the library. All queries can be made at the desk, or contact 031 311 2731.
