Man robbed and killed in Pinetown

The business owner was returning to his office from the bank when he was robbed of R150 000.

A PINETOWN business owner was shot and robbed of R150 000 by armed men at Umndoni Centre on Monday, 7 November.
According to Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, the man was returning from a bank in Crompton Street and was entering his office at Umndoni Centre when he was accosted by three armed men who were driving a silver Polo.
“The man was shot twice and was taken to Crompton Street where he died,” said Manqele.
A case of murder and robbery was opened at Pinetown SAPS and no arrests have been made.
