Store promotes healthy lifestyles

IN commemoration of Cancer Month, observed in October, Chelsea SPAR invited New Germany Clinic staff to test customers for health related issues.

Store manager, Clara Zuma said every month they host community service programmes.

“This month, we chose to do a health awareness project to support people affected with cancer as it is Cancer Month.

“We set up a testing and healthy product station around the shop. The staff also came to the party by wearing white tunics and advised people to eat healthy,” said Zuma.

The store also donated food parcels and clothes to a senior citizen organisation, iKhayalethemba where the elderly people are taught to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The fun-filled day was supported by Albany, Honey Dew, Virgin Active, USN, One Bake and Nature Source.
