Help NPO control kitten population

The local Durban organisation will trap, transport and spay cats for R500 during October to help control the cat population.

THE Cats of Durban organisation urges Highway residents to sterilise their cats as the NPO’s fosters and rescuers have been inundated with unwanted kittens.

“We are usually successful in finding homes for these kittens, but we really do not want to face the heartbreak of having to put them down if we cannot find homes. Please sterilise your cat, and prevent the birth of any more kittens,” said Niki Moore, founder and treasurer of Cats of Durban.

“To assist people with sterilisation, we have negotiated a special rate with a few selected vets, who will do sterilisations for R400 per cat. This is a massive saving over the usual price,” said Niki, the at Cats of Durban

If you have feral or stray cats in your yard that need to be professionally trapped, contact the organisation. Cats of Durban will trap, transport and sterilise the cats for R500. The offer is available for October only.

To qualify for this special service, e-mail catsofdurban@gmail.com or SMS your name, address and cellphone number as well as the number of cats you have to 083 758 4483.
