Help a child walk tall in a pair of new shoes

People can donate any pre-loved, good quality shoes or donate R50 towards the campaign.

THE Robin Hood Foundation (RHF) is appealing to the community to support its Spring 2016 ‘Choose Your Shoes’ campaign.

The campaign was inspired by a photo, which was taken by K&K Photography, onsite at the Mandela Day Educational, where RHF hosted more than 380 children aged two to 17 years in the Amaoti township on Friday, 15 July.

“The shoe which belonged to a nine-year old-child, pulled on the heartstrings of our volunteer team and made us realise while we get up and choose our shoes, our outfit and our accessories, these young orphaned and vulnerable children don’t get a choice, this was young Sipholelo’s only choice,” said Kim Griffith Jones, coordinator of RHF.

To assist, people can donate any pre-loved, good quality shoes. All sizes are welcome or donate R50 towards the ‘Choose your Shoes’ campaign.

“American actress and model, Marilyn Munroe, was once said, ‘Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world’, we are appealing to our community to help us give these children a chance to walk a little taller in a pair of new

shoes,” she said.

Contact Kim Griffith Jones on 076 612 9060 or email robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net to assist.
