A MAN was shot during an armed robbery that occurred at the Pavilion Shopping Centre’s open parking area on Thursday, 31 August, at 2.30pm.
The centre’s management confirmed the incident and issued a statement which read, “One patron was shot in the process and was taken to Life Westville Hospital. The SAPS has advised that he is in a stable condition.”
According to reports, KZN SAPS spokesman, Thulani Zwane said a person who witnessed the armed robbery took out his own firearm and shot at the suspects.
“The witness who was with the victim managed to shoot at the suspects and the suspects retaliated,” he said.
