Six children injured in Richmond Road crash

The SAPS are investigating the collision.

SEVEN people, including six children, were injured in a collision on Richmond Road in Mariannhill, Pinetown around 7am today.

According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care, paramedics arrived at the scene to find that two vehicles had collided on the busy roadway. It is alleged that one of the vehicles had broken down and a vehicle then crashed into it.

“The six children suffered minor injuries and a woman suffered serious injuries. All of the injured were stabilised on scene and then transported to various Durban Hospitals. The SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating,” said Jamieson.
