EDITOR – It was amazing to see the escape of the bozos from the unattended police van. They, the police, could have been called away to attend to another problem, thus leaving the van unattended. As you said, the video was taken by a man who, with other people, stood by and did nothing to stop the men from escaping.
I realise that people are having their attention span lowered by TV game shows, soapies and the biggest down-dumber of them all, sports. My anagram for sports is ‘special programming over riding your real time syndrome’. This syndrome numbs people’s attention span to lower than that of a zombie. It’s bad enough that humans have an attention span that is already lower than that of a goldfish.
To you, the people who stood by and watched the criminals escape and laugh on top of that, it is not on.
They were arrested for being in possession of unlicensed firearms – the very same ones used to hijack your cars and used when breaking into your homes. You, the people, need to wake up. The lion sleeps no more.
