GALLERY: Barry Hilton brings the funny to Highfield

Hilton's global track record highlights a unique ability to cut through all boundaries and appeal to any nationality, race or age.

RENOWNED comedian Barry Hilton was at the Highfield House in Hillary for a night of fun and laughter on Tuesday, 10 May. Tickets were sold out within minutes as residents eagerly rushed to secure their seats for the evening’s entertainment.

Owner of the Highfield House, Les Riddle, said Hilton was among the topmost entertainers they’ve hosted. “I think that Barry Hilton might be the biggest entertainer to perform in our area, and we were privileged to have him perform at Highfield House. We are an exclusive wedding venue and we open the venue to very popular comedians and musicians twice a year,” he said. Riddle said other entertainers they have hosted include Eddie Eksteen, Mel Miller, Joe Parker, Dan Patlansky and Steve Fataar.

Hilton is enormously funny, his global track record highlights a unique ability to cut through all boundaries and appeal to any nationality, race or age and has a delightful knack of finding the ludicrous and the humorous in daily situations to make people laugh at life. Having recently performed to a full house at the Sydney Opera theatre, Australia, it is no wonder tickets to this show sold out fast. “We sold 110 tickets in one and a half hours of it being advertised on Facebook,” Riddle added.
