Support the Sunflower Fund breakfast

It's that time of the year again, for the 11th annual Sunflower Fund Breakfast, which features all things gardening.

ORGANISERS Allison Ekstrand and Tanith King of The Sunflower Fund, Lindsay Gray, principal of The School of Garden Design and Tanya Visser, editor of The Gardener/Tuinier magazine, are once again encouraging gardening and outdoor enthusiasts to join them for a fabulous morning in support of charity.

The School of Garden Design is hosting its much-anticipated 11th annual Sunflower Fund Breakfast on Thursday, 23 June at the Kloof Country Club for an exclusive and limited 180 guests. Apart from being an enjoyable and fun-filled morning, all funds raised will be donated to The Sunflower Fund which is the only organisation in Africa to educate, grow and maintain the South African Bone Marrow Registry.

The more stem cell donors on the registry, the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding their 1 in 100 000 donor match.

Tickets are available at R200 each, which will afford you a morning of great enjoyment including a fabulous goodie bag, delicious two-course breakfast, wonderful lucky draw prizes as well as a pamper station.

There’s also an enviable raffle on offer. Larger-than-life celebrity guest speaker, Tanya Visser, will educate and entertain guests as she shares her insights on this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

As this year’s theme is ‘Ode to the Egg Box’, Tanya will also judge and award a prize to the woman who brings along the most creatively-recycled egg box.

For bookings or sponsorship of prizes and/or goodie bag items, kindly contact Lindsay Gray on 082 449 9237 or e-mail her at lingray@schoolofgardendesign.co.za. Book early to avoid disappointment.
