In the dog box for a good cause

Help raise funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA by spending a night in one of its socialisation runs.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA is on the hunt for 2016 Dog Box Champions and urges companies and schools to participate.

“This is certainly one of the most sociable and fun events of the year,” said Lisa Mörck, PR and outreach officer at the Kloof and Highway SPCA. “We challenge local companies, organisations, schools and individuals to adopt one of our socialisation runs for 24 hours and raise your ‘bail’ money to secure your release.”

The chosen champions will be locked away for 24 hours, from Friday, 27 May to noon on Saturday, 28 May.

“We encourage our champions to brand and decorate your kennel space in any way you want and invite your friends, family, clients and colleagues to visit you to show their support while you make a difference for animals in your community,” said Lisa.

The funds raised will be allocated to outreach clinics during this year, and this is where Highway residents can make their mark and be a part of the NPO’s team that reaches out to animals living in underprivileged and very poor communities in abject poverty. “Help us to alleviate their unnecessary pain and suffering and improve the quality of their lives,” said Lisa.

If you would like to be a part of the annual event, contact Lisa or Tersia on 031 764 1212/3 or e-mail fundraising@kloofspca.co.za to book your space.
