Weekend accidents leave five injured and one dead

Most of the weekend's accidents happened during wet weather.

TWO separate collisions took place during wet weather about 200 metres apart on the M13 on Field’s Hill at about the same time on Sunday, 17 January.

In both instances, the drivers lost control of the vehicles and crashed into barriers.

In the first incident, ER24 paramedics attended and a man was found still sitting in a light delivery vehicle.

Paramedics opened a door and took the man out; he had sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and transported to hospital.

In the second incident, two men were found seated on the grass next to the vehicle.

Both men were assessed by paramedics. One was treated for minor injuries and transported to hospital. Fortunately, the second person involved in the incident was uninjured. The exact cause of the accidents are unknown.
