A 31-YEAR-OD man was arrested on charges of house robbery and will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court soon.
According to Constable Ndumiso Manqele, communications officer at the Hillcrest SAPS, it is alleged that this man was one of two robbers that broke into a home in the Embo Reserve on Thursday 24 December. The victim was threatened with a knife while the other robber was in possession of a bush knife. The robbers stole cash, groceries and medication, before assaulting the victim and fleeing the scene.
“The complainant reported the case to Hillcrest SAPS for investigation. Detective Constable Xolani Gumede took up the case and made the arrest. He is currently searching for the second robber,” said Manqele.
