FutureLife spoils Shongweni children
Marriott Asset Management from Hillcrest also sponsored one of the three parties on the day.
FUTURELIFE Foundation hosted Christmas parties for two Shongweni Dam crèches and an orphanage.
The New Germany NGO also sponsored a mobile library to Luthando Day Care. The day was filled with lots of fun as there were games and treats for the children.
There were also clowns who kept the children entertained at Luthando Day Care, Rock of Hope and Baptist Church crèche.
CEO of FutureLife, Julika Falconer, said they have been sponsoring the crèche since 2008. “The two other parties and the mobile library were also sponsored by German partner NPO, Inhlanhla EV.
Principal of Luthando Day Care, Sindi Ngcobo, said the sponsorship from FutureLife Foundation has really helped them throughout the years. Luthando Day Care looks after 75 children from 0 to five years.
“FutureLife sponsors the children with porridge every two months. The mobile library will really assist the children learn to read at an early age. They will also learn to take care of books as parents will also be able to borrow them and teach at home.”
Ngcobo expressed her gratitude about the goodies, games and food that FutureLife provided them with on the day. “We are also grateful for the stationery that was provided for the children who are going to start Grade R next year.”
