Rotary Anns Open Gardens

Each of the garden owners elected a charity of their choice.

THE Kloof Rotary Anns Open Gardens was attended by 1 374 people and raised R63 000 for local charities.

Each of the garden owners elected a charity of their choice with some of the money going to these charities. Charities nominated this year by garden owners are Highway Aged, Kloof and Highway SPCA, Yes, Highway Hospice, SARDA, Hillcrest Aids Trust and Hillcrest Advice Bureau – Bursary Fund.

The Rotary Anns will be identifying various charities in the next few months but a significant amount will go to the purchasing of items for Christmas hampers for needy learners and also to the Argus Community College.

The raffle raised R4,170 and the winners were Denise Goodall, Don Botterill, Lisa Lazare and Colleen Jennings.

“The Kloof Rotary Anns would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who supported the annual fundraiser and hope that they will continue to support in the future,” said Wendy Scorgie from Kloof Rotary Anns.
