Boy (6) dies on N3
Traffic was severely affected on the N3 after an accident which claimed the life of a six-year-old boy.
A SIX-year-old boy was killed in an N3 accident in Pinetown on Sunday afternoon.
According to Kyle van Reenen, Crisis Medical marketing manager, a car overturned on the N3 and paramedics found the car lying on its side. Van Reenen said cardiopulmonary resuscitation was attempted on the boy but he was declared dead on scene.
“Five other people sustained minor to moderate injuries in the incident. It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the car, resulting in it overturning, but local authorities will be investigating.”
Van Reenen added that traffic was severely affected as the roadway remained closed to traffic while emergency services worked to clear the scene.
