Something for all plant lovers to see

The KZN Clivia Club will be holding its Annual Clivia Flower Show in Kloof this weekend (Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 September).

The KZN Clivia Club is holding its Annual Clivia Flower Show in Kloof this year.

There will be a spectacular display of some of the most amazing new colour ranges of this attractive and indigenous lily. Colours will include vibrant bronzes with bright green centres, subtle creamy pastels, unusual splashes on the outside of the petals, bright yellows as well as unusual interspecific (Miniata – the pendulous species) crosses.

The first flower show will be on Saturday, 12 September from 10am to 3.30pm at the Kloof Town Hall, Old Main Road, Kloof.

The second flower show will be on Sunday, 13 September from 9am to 3pm at the same venue.

Informative clivia growers and enthusiasts will be on hand to give advice on growing, diseases and general care of this popular garden shade-loving plant.

There will seeds, seedlings and mature clivia plants of different colour ranges and species for sale as well as other interesting indigenous plants.

Entrance charge will be R10 per person over 12.
