Go green at sustainable living exhibition

Durban’s premier greening event will be held from 14 to 16 August at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

THE eThekwini Municipality is gearing up to host a bumper Sustainable Living Exhibition this year, with more than 250 exhibitors showcasing their greening products and services. The exhibition is Durban’s premier greening event and will be held from 14 to 16 August at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

The event promises to be a fun, educational and informative showcase of all things green and sustainable.

The exhibition comes at a time when the KwaZulu-Natal province is feeling the effects of climate change, with water restrictions implemented in various areas.

“The time has come for us to start making changes to our lifestyles and live more sustainably if we have not already done so, and there is no better platform to learn how to do this than at the Sustainable Living Exhibition. Packed with water saving tanks, energy saving gadgets, recycling alternatives, food and water-wise garden advice and ideas, the exhibition will make it easy for you to green your lifestyle,” said Mayor James Nxumalo.

The BotSoc Plant fair, which also takes place at the exhibition, will have thousands of indigenous plants on sale just in time for spring so you can spruce up your garden. These water-wise plants will brighten up any corner in your garden. Entry is free.
