ESKOM has stopped stage one load shedding at 12pm on Thursday, 6 August.
#Load_shedding stage 1 stopped at 12h00 & might be re-instated later. Time & stage will be finalised depending on state of the power system.

However, the system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period of 5pm to 9pm.
Therefore stage two load shedding will be implemented from 5pm until 10m this evening.
Earlier today the power utility had implemented stage one load shedding and announced it had planned to maintain that status all day.
“Due to increased electricity demand and a shortage of generation capacity due to power station units being on maintenance, Eskom has implemented stage one load shedding and this is likely to continue until 10pm this evening,” the power utility said.
