Dillan Oliphant to perform live in Durban

Show for comedy lovers this weekend.

Calling all fans of laughter, comedy and everything funny. The 031 Entertainment Co. has put together two side-splitting comedy shows starring Dillan Oliphant. The Johannesburg-born comedian started comedy in 2010 and hasn’t looked back since.

It quickly became very obvious that he had made the right choice, and only two years later he was an opening act at Trevor Noah’s ‘That’s Racist’ at the Lyric Theatre and in that very same year he was named winner of the Newcomer of the Year award at the Annual SA’s Comic Choice Awards.

Dillan has appeared on David Kau’s ‘Blacks Only’ show on numerous occasions and he has stared along side other great acts such as Rob van Vuuren and Marc Lottering. He has also made television appearances on ‘Laugh Out Loud’ (L.O.L.) and on Late Night News with Loyiso Gola. Dillan makes for great viewing. He truly is the ‘King of Oneliners’.

The shows are being held in two of Durban’s most iconic warehouses – that’s right, warehouses. The 031 is converting industrial spaces into theatres with a twist.

The first show will be held on 24 July at 8 Morrison Street. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Oliphant will be supported on stage by local upcoming Durban comedians, Shannon Rice and Dylan Shawn. The Standeaven Brewery will be supplying a variety of craft beer on tap. Please bring cash, as there are no card facilities available. Presale tickets are R60 per person and R80 at the door.

Tickets are available online from www.the031.co.za.
