Woman critically injured after Pinetown crash
One seriously injured after morning crash on N3.
| A woman was seriously injured in an accident along the N3 Durban-bound between Richmond Road and the M7 off-ramps this morning at around o7.30am. A report from the scene indicates that the vehicle veered off the road and smashed into the barriers, its twisted frame came to rest balancing on the Armco barriers.Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the patient was still trapped in her vehicle.”Paramedics had to immobilise her with a Kendrick device; she was then placed on a trauma board with the assistance of the fire department to extricate her from the wreckage,” said Netcare 911 media liason, Chris Botha.
After the medics treated the patient on scene, they transported her to a nearby hospital under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic. |
