On the ‘verge’ of winning
Gaby Ndwandwe's was voted best verge in the Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association's annual verge competition.
KEEP Hillcrest Beautiful Association announced Gaby Ndwandwe of 13 Hilltop Road in Hillcrest as the winner of the annual verge competition.
According to Lynn Templeman, it is KHBA’s aim to encourage residents to maintain their verges in an inexpensive yet effective way and to rid them of invasive alien plants. There are some verges that could do with some tender loving care and it is hoped that this competition might be an incentive to owners to take some trouble with their verge.
She thanked Rael Lurie of Richdens SPAR for their kind donation of a hamper and to Dieter’s Nursery for the voucher, sponsored by KHBA.
