Raiders face off against Rovers and Hillcrest
Check out the results for the games played between the Pinetown Raiders and their opponents.
RAIDERS first XV took on Rovers third team on Friday night. The Raiders team was camping out in the Rovers’ 22, but lacked finish in the first half of the game with the Rovers team leading three tries to one penalty.
Rovers unfortunately let the foot off the pedal in the second half and the Raiders team executed a comeback to just miss out on a win, with the final score 25-22 to Rovers. Tries came from Mason Middleton, prop, Cameron Chislett, and eighth man, Sheldon Phillips.
The Raiders second team took on Hillcrest on Saturday, hoping to improve on their embarrassing first round game. This was not to be as Hillcrest took the game to 44-0.
Raiders next face off against Amanzimtoti and Durban Mets on Saturday, 18 July at Ashley Sports Grounds from 1:30pm.
