Westville teams win Top Four volleyball tourney
Six pupils from WBHS's first volleyball team will represent KZN in the national tournament in Gauteng this July.
WESTVILLE Boys’ High School participated in the Top Four Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, 6 June, winning in all age groups.
Westville’s 14A 15A ,16A and first team ended the tournament with victories in their respective age groups. The 14A team also won the league for 2015, beating Glenwood 14A in the final 2-0.
The 15A side (unbeaten for the entire season) and 16A (unbeaten in the 2015 volleyball league) beat Kingsway’s 15A and 16A teams with convincing two straight sets each.
The first volleyball team, captained by Nathan Nadar, powered their way to victory in two sets 25-17 and 25-18 against their formidable opponents, New Forest first, to win the BU19 Top Four Tournament for 2015.
Six of the Westville Boys’ High School’s first volleyball team – Nathan Nadar, Shaedon Nyar, Connor Dale, Gabriel Baah, Kiashen Govender and Dylan Robertson – who were victorious for the eThekwini Team in the KZN inter-district tournament, will represent KZN in the national tournament in Gauteng this July.
