Business owner and security guard robbed at gunpoint in Hillcrest.

A BUSINESS owner and a security guard were held up at gunpoint at Aston Financial Services in Old Main Road, Hillcrest on Monday morning.

Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele, said it is alleged that the security guard was preparing to leave after working night duty when he heard a car hooting outside.

The robbers were driving a dark green Lexus with a GP registration.

“They forced the security guard to the main office, where the business owner was. The business owner was also threatened with the gun, and the robbers demanded cash.

“They fled the scene with eight computers, a computer monitor, an iPhone 6 and other items,” said Manqele.

The total value of stolen items was around R277 000. A case of business robbery was reported at Hillcrest Police Station for further investigation.
