KSP excels in sports tournament

Kloof Senior Primary recently competed in a rugby and netball tournament in Bloemfontein.

KLOOF Senior Primary’s first team rugby and netball teams recently competed in the Super 16 Rugby and Netball Tournament in Bloemfontein. The team departed for Bloemfontein on 22 March, and the first stop on the tour was the Basotho Cultural Village at Golden Gate, where they experienced lunch in true Basotho style.

They then set off for Bloemfontein, where they played against some of the top teams from around South Africa including the Karoo, Kimberley, Pretoria, Nothern Cape, Johannesburg, Lyttelton and Bloemfontein.

The challenging weather conditions did not hinder Kloof Senior Primary’s talents on both the rugby and netball fields. Over the three days the rugby boys played four excellent games in muddy, wet conditions, coming second in the tournament. The netball girls also played extremely well, competing in 14 matches and finishing in third place.
