Two injured in Highway crashes

TWO people were injured in two separate accidents in the Highway area.

In the first crash on Tuesday, 17 March a man was taking a shortcut through a cemetery in Molweni when he fell off his bike as he joined a dirt road.

Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said the 36-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

In the second collision, on Monday, 16 March, two bakkies were involved in a side impact collision at the M19 and Otto Volek Road intersection. On of the bakkies landed on its side.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said one person sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
