Brave kitten rescued after 200km ride on petrol tank

Little Dusty was rescued and adopted after hitchhiking a ride from Empangeni on the top of a petrol tank.

A TINY kitten was rescued yesterday, after she took a 200km journey from Empangeni to Gillitts  on the top of a petrol tank inside a bakkie. Michelle Sinclair,  owner of the Bantam Bakkie in which the kitten was found has adopted her, and has named her Dusty Sinclair.

Sinclair, who’s adopted three rescued cats prior to Dusty, said, “It was definitely her lucky day as she landed at our offices. We took her to a vet and they confirmed that Dusty is in good health and didn’t sustain any injuries.”

Full of dirt and dust, but otherwise fine, Dusty, who was found curled up under the vehicle on top of the petrol tank  is now enjoying cuddling up in her new home.
