Officers seize suspected stolen goods
Bellair detectives are trying to establish if the two men who were arrested last week, were linked to any housebreaking incidents.
TWO men aged 20 and 21 were arrested last Tuesday afternoon in Manor View Road by two Bellair SAPS officers. Captain Mbongeni Chiliza and Constable Mfundo Jali were conducting their routing patrols when they were notified of a housebreaking in progress in Manor View Road. While driving to the complainant’s house, the officers were stopped by a bystander who directed them to the men who were found in possession of aluminium bars and housebreaking implements. Communications officer for the Bellair SAPS, Warrant Officer Derek Vijiam said both men were charged for being in possession of suspected stolen property and housebreaking implements. They were expected to appear in court on Thursday. Detectives are investigating the case further to establish if the men were linked to any housebreaking incidents.
